A major undertaking in Cornwall

For the account of Vinci Environnement, Castel et Fromaget is handling the steelworks, process support and building contract, together with the decking and guard-rails, for the biggest construction project undertaken in Cornwall over the last few years.

The overall project, signed in early 2014 after six months of pre-engineering, covers the construction of the future Cornish Energy Recycling Centre (CERC), to be delivered in November 2015 for the start of cold run tests.

The contribution of Castel et Fromaget involves the structure of the three turbine buildings, the smoke disposal hall and the boiler.

It was with that project in mind that the company prepared and was granted the CE marking certification, one jump ahead of its competitors.
