Supply of overhead travelling cranes for the new Jules Horowitz Reactor (RJH)
As part of the construction of the Jules Horowitz experimental reactor (JHR) at the CADARACHE CEA (French Alternative Energies & Atomic Energy Commission) centre, Comete built the EML, EMZ and EMP high-security bridge cranes. Joseph Paris, as part of a consortium with Comete for this project, built the polar crane.
For these 2 level-1 high-security bridge cranes, the level-2 high-security bridge crane and the polar crane, Comete provided the following services:
- Mechanical and electrical design
- Manufacturing
- Factory assembly
- Factory testing
- On-site assembly
- On-site testing and commissioning
