14 of the 17 levels of this 62-metre-high building are now clad in stainless steel. Viry was selected to set up the sunshades, framework and steel roof. The sunshade panels (4,500m²) are duckboards made from triangular-section wire. They have a variable inclination along the 90m-long curved façade. The resulting skew surface required extreme manufacturing accuracy and particular care with this noble material, which is sensitive to warping due to welding.
28 tonnes of stainless steel were used. The Tour F will be at the heart of the future French Ministry of Defence, the famous "French pentagon".
