The ecole normal superieur
As part of the construction project for the new Ecole Normale Supérieure in Cachan, VIRY is creating 5 bi-sloped glass roofs and their automated sunbreakers overhanging the building's covered street. The structure consists of trusses supported by tie rods. The sunbreakers are made up of an assembly of extruded profiles and powder-coated aluminium slats. Each glass pane has its own programming to modulate light and heat. The Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan has joined the Paris-Saclay higher education and research cluster.
