Inauguration
The inauguration was attended by a large number of local personalities, who were joined by Laurent Fayat, the Group's Chief Executive Officer, accompanied by Emmanuel De Laage, Director of Fayat Metal, and Eric Ferrari, Director of Fayat Bâtiment.
From the open-air pedestrian avenue running through the 50,000 m2 complex, guests were able to discover the layout of the many retailers present: two medium-sized specialist stores, around 15 medium-sized stores, some 60 shops and kiosks, not forgetting the 20 or so restaurants and the 16-screen cinema. Finally, hidden car parks cover the site, which is also planted with pine and palm trees.
To meet the 10-month deadline! Teams from Cari Provence, Castel & Fromaget and Castel Alu worked at record speeds, with up to 150 people mobilised, organised in teams working 2×8 in certain areas. 8 tower cranes had to be installed, ensuring a daily ballet that did not fail to impress onlookers, and made it possible to pour almost 45,000 m³ of concrete.
The project has been awarded dual HQE/BREEAM certification. It is part of a project, scheduled for completion in 2017, to create a new district in one of the largest shopping areas in the south of France ("Château-Redon" district, comprising 230 homes, 10,000 m² of offices and an 80-room hotel).
