Located on the edge of the Paris ring road, the 10,655 m2 building is a continuation of the new Tribunal de grande d'instance de Paris, whose base it extends.

THÉMIS N4

The proximity of the district court provides a special context for this medium-sized building, foreshadowing its commercial success. The agency's architectural response aims to work with the slender structure of the High Court, and to extend its basement onto Avenue de Duaumont. To achieve this, using the same format as the court's windows, it proposed integrating a light signal into the building, increasing its visibility from the ring road. This is made possible by its 80 m linear façade, made up of a sloping glass wall and mirrored sub-faces. This process creates an optical dynamic that captures light and reflects the environment in a specific way. The resulting fragmentation of fragments is amplified and multiplied where the sloping glass wall meets.
The south facade is planted, as is the roof.

Thémis is part of the process initiated by the City of Paris to make the ZAC Clichy-Batignolles an urban eco-neighbourhood in Paris, with the Nouveau Quartier Urbain label. This is one of the eco-neighbourhoods through which the City of Paris is implementing an ambitious sustainable development policy, expressed in particular in its Climate Plan and Biodiversity Plan.
Thémis is therefore a showcase for sustainable development. Its carefully thought-out construction, with its mixed wood and concrete structure, and its controlled operation, thanks to geothermal energy production, make it an exemplary environmental building.
As a result of these commitments, it was the 1st commercial building in France to be awarded the E+ C- label by the French Ministry of Housing in 2017.

It also has HQE 'Excellent' (2015 standard), Breeam 'Excellent' (2013 standard), Effinergie + (RT 2012) and Biosourcé (2015 standard) certification. These innovations, together with the strong presence of wood in the building, have enabled it to be selected as one of the 10 pilot projects for the future Bâtiment Bas Carbone label.
